Abstract

Social protection plays an important role in improving the lives and well-being of employees. Thus, this paper focuses on the elements of employee social protection within the corporate social responsibility (CSR) frame initiatives by companies. In this paper, employee social protection within the CSR frame initiative is defined as a set of measures for the welfare and well-being of employees to protect employees against economic and social distress. This research performs content analysis of literature on social protection and CSR from both academic and non-academic views. Through a systematic content analysis, this paper identifies three (3) dimensions of employee social protection within the CSR frame initiative by companies together with their operational measurement.
