In Bangladesh, digitalisation motivates many banks to announce inventive services for clients such as POST/ATM service, tele-banking mobile banking, and net banking, that make banking jobs more attractive, and challenging. This research aims to identify significant job-related factors that affect job satisfaction among bank personnel in Bangladesh. A survey questionnaire adopted from the instrument that is developed by the University of Minnesota, MSQ is used in determining the levels of satisfaction. Primary data was gathered from 414 bank employees who work at four Bangladeshi public commercial banks, and four private commercial banks. Statistical techniques including reliability tests, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis are utilised to analyse the data. It is found that motivators and hygiene factors are the most significant factors that contribute to job satisfaction among bank employees. The study also suggests that there is a positive relationship among motivators, hygiene factors, and other job-related factors with the satisfaction of employees.
Dhanonjoy Kumar, Abul Bashar Bhuiyan, Md. Several (HEIs) have not met the specified criteria and, therefore, they have been placed on probation. Nevertheless, Oman has demonstrated awareness of the progress made in higher education, characterised by rapid advancements in the adoption and execution of quality assurance measures, and the utilisation of an effective human resource management system. This awareness has been developed through the Islamic beliefs which characterised the Omani culture. The present study aims to investigate the quality assurance and human resource management practices effects within private higher institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. A literature review was conducted to enhance comprehension of the conceptualisation of these two ideas throughout the industry. A well-equipped atmosphere at private higher education institutions in Oman has been shown to facilitate the implementation and cultivation of a culture of quality assurance by the government. It is imperative to focus more on implementing general human resource management practices by cultivating an effective and equitable system that adequately supports employees in their respective roles. These practices include planning, attraction, retention, and development of human resources. As a result, the education sector will be capable of providing an outstanding level of education to students, who will benefit from the satisfaction of the labour force.
Ali Salim Al Balushi, Kamisah Supian ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/135 Wed, 03 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0800 Assessment of Market Share and Brand Preference With Markov Chain and Factor Analysis Approach in East Java https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/136
Competition in the consumer product business is very tight hence, marketing strategies are needed to maximise product marketing. In the context of East Java, Indonesia, marketing of detergent products is complicated because there are many competing companies, and the factors concerning loyal consumers still need to be discovered. The present research aims to determine the right marketing strategy for each detergent brand by knowing consumer reactions and responses to the marketing strategies that companies implement. This research determines consumers’ perceptions of certain detergent products which influence their purchasing behaviour and awareness of various risks of the products that they consume. Weighted data on Markov Chain is collected by utilising survey questionnaires, and the current behaviour of consumers is analysed to predict their behaviour regarding changes in detergent product selection through probabilistic information that can be used to assist decision-making. By using the Markov chain method, it is found that market share projections for the detergent products under study can be carried out. The factor that has the potential to cause consumers of certain detergent products to switch to other detergent products is the lack of fulfilment of product variations, and types. This research contributes to obtaining appropriate indicators and attributes to increase consumer perceptions of a product as part of a superior marketing strategy.
Sri Rahayu, Otto Fajarianto, Rifda Fitrianty ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/136 Wed, 03 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0800 Exploring Urban Life Peculiarity Well-being in Malaysian Cities https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/137
Individual and societal health, flourishing, and prosperity are all linked to well-being. Well-being is more than simply the absence of disease or illness. It is a complex interplay of physical, mental, emotional, and social health factors. Happiness and life satisfaction are strongly linked to well-being. Unfortunately, well-being looks to be declining, with rising conflicts adding to the pressure on cities, as more than half of the forcibly displaced people live in cities. Urban life peculiarity well-being (LPW) is complicated and multidimensional. A diverse set of urban well-being evaluation methods has been created around the world to measure and monitor the quality of urban life while taking into account the specific characteristics of cities/regions and the demands of their populations. This study is aimed to investigate the urban LPW among tourism industry workers in Malaysia. Data were collected from 35 tourism industry workers with various backgrounds by distributing questionnaires using a convenient sampling approach. The collected data of 35 were analysed by using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software. This finding calls for a better understanding of the urban LPW elements among the tourism industry workers in Malaysia. The study highlights the value of the created framework and comprehensive list of criteria as an organised and efficient method for developing better urban LPW assessment tools.
Kamisah Supian, Sharifah Hilmi Syed Abdullah, Norhaila Sabli ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/137 Wed, 03 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0800 Framing Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives on Employee Social Protection https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/138
Social protection plays an important role in improving the lives and well-being of employees. This was activated by the development of a research model that represents the interrelationships between the strategic factors. This study adopts a quantitative research design with a deductive approach to explore the purpose of this study. Survey questionnaires were conducted among 200 respondents who are involved directly and have relevant knowledge and experience with the economic diversification agenda and the Tanfeedh Programme. The respondents comprise two segments consisting of government staff under the Tanfeedh programme as the first group while the second group consists of private companies’ employees who have been dealing with the government’s diversification agenda. The data are analysed in two phases involving the use of IBM SPSS Statistics version 24, and Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The preliminary analysis and PLS-SEM analysis from the study indicate that the enablers of infrastructure along with the other two factors referred to as industrial development and the Tanfeedh programme are the right strategic factors for the economic progress of Oman.
Nasr Al Yahyai ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/139 Thu, 04 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0800 Examining the E-Learning Satisfaction of Students With the Technology Acceptance Model and E-Learning System Success Model https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/132
This study aims to understand students’ e-learning satisfaction behaviours by employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and E-learning System Success Model . The study is built on the assumption that perceived knowledge, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect students’ satisfaction and in turn e-learning effectiveness. The survey data was collected from 135 students who use an e-learning system at a higher learning institute in Malaysia. Purposive and convenience sampling was chosen due to the ease of accessibility of the participants. The questionnaires were distributed to the participants via an online Google form. A 5-Likert scale was adopted in this study, and the statistical analysis of the results was performed using the IBM SPSS Statistical (SPSS) package. It is found that Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness showcase strong statistical significance, establishing the regression model's statistical relevance. These factors are therefore crucial to ensuring that students are happy with e-learning.
Nafiza Mahayuddin, Noor Akma Mohd Salleh, Nur Hafizah Hidayat, Erni Tanius, Norhaila Sabli ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://sbr.journals.unisel.edu.my/ojs/index.php/sbr/article/view/132 Thu, 04 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0800
